Trail Overview

Rock Face is a fun and challenging short obstacle with many different approaches. It is a steep incline that starts with smooth rock that you have to negotiate after you cross a creek bank and your tires are wet to add to the challenge. You can approach it from the right side which is the second most steep route, from just left of the large rock obtrusion which is the steepest and slickest approach, or from the far left, which is less steep but has several medium-sized ledges to negotiate. Once you make it past the lower portion, you will have to bounce your way over lots of steps and medium-sized rock obtrusions to get all the way to the top. If you take the easier lines, you will need plenty of clearance to get over the ledges. There is always a crowd waiting at the base of Rock Face to cheer you on as you attempt the climb.
