Trail Overview
Riley's Ridge is a varied and moderately challenging route suited for well-equipped vehicles and experienced drivers. The initial section offers easy to moderate passes through wooded areas with soft, muddy ground where rutted paths and shallow water crossings are common, especially after rainfall. The trail then transitions to loose rock with short climbs and slightly off-camber stretches. The most demanding portion of the trail includes a boulder-filled descent (or incline, depending on travel direction) that features large, uneven rocks and narrow off-camber passes near trees. Precise tire placement and adequate ground clearance are essential. There is room to turn around for those not ready to attempt the final obstacle, as the rest of the trail is less challenging.
