FS 852

Trail Overview

This trail takes you through the Little Missouri National Grasslands and along Theodore Roosevelt National Park's north unit, with a pull-off to view the badlands from above. It is mostly a dirt road with sections of gravel. The trail does have two water crossings with cement bottoms and some ruts and inclines that are over 10 degrees. There are many side trails that you can take to enjoy more great scenery and have more opportunities to see wildlife.

This trail has rutted sections, two water crossings, and several inclines exceeding 10 percent grade. Conditions are generally manageable but may require careful tire placement in uneven areas.
