Trail Overview

School House Ridge is a narrower, more overgrown double-track trail that winds through a secluded area of the forest. It is slightly more challenging than other nearby roads due to less frequent maintenance, its narrow width, and the presence of occasional ruts and muddy spots. The trail surface is primarily sandy gravel, with several sections flanked by dense trees and brush that may scrape wider vehicles. A handful of shallow ruts and muddy potholes are scattered along the route, though most are less than a couple of inches deep. Due to the overgrown nature and uneven terrain, some ground clearance is recommended, especially during or after rain. Despite the added difficulty, the trail offers a quiet and scenic route, ideal for those seeking a more remote experience.
