Trail Overview

The trailhead starts off mild with rocks not exceeding more than 4-6 inches but quickly starts to have rutted areas in the first mile. There are washouts that can range from 6-12 inches deep and rocks that are 12-16 inches in height. Some switchbacks have loose rock and steep climbs that exceed 20-25 degrees. There are multiple areas of erosion that run through the trail. Rock faces and shelves that are approximately 12 inches tall. This is a single-width trail with little to no room for passing. Mud and running water are heavily present depending on weather conditions/ time of year.

Difficulty

There are rocks up to 12-16 inches and sections of very steep inclines/declines that are approximately 25 degrees. There are switchbacks that have tight turning radius with loose rock. Erosion and washes are scattered through most of the trail. Ledges that are 12 inches in height. The trail is one vehicle wide in most locations on the trail, with little room to turn around.
