Trail Overview
There is a Forest Service gate at the beginning of the trail; it is not locked, just chained. Once you undo the chain, you'll drive in and close the gate behind you. Once on public land, the trail is extremely narrow. If you're worried about pinstripes, this trail is not for you. After the first mile, the trail opens up, and there are plenty of dispersed areas for camping. There are cows in the area, so make sure you're mindful of that. The trail is composed of deep, loose, fine sand for the entire duration. At Mile 2, you will come to a very large incline that is completely washed out with large step-ups. There is no bypass. Photos of the obstacle are included.
