Trail Overview

This is a moderate trail and has great views of the Pecos River. It is a sandy trail and has great spots to fish if you are into that. While traveling this trail there were some spots where the trail had collapsed, so use caution. This is a dessert feel location so bring sunscreen if a warmer season.

Difficulty

moderate, trails are sand so rainy days may make it difficult to navigate. ran across some parts of the trail which were washed out.

High clearance yes, dry conditions 4x4 not needed. Very tight if you want to keep your paint pin stripe free. Plenty of scratch hazards. Narrow wheel base and clearance needed. Some loose sand and exposed trash/roots that can snag sidewalls . I came out without hitting any brush, but it took a lot of focus to do so.
