Trail Overview
Jacques Canyon is an exceptionally well-maintained and easily passable trail for most vehicles, including some high-clearance passenger cars. While dispersed camping is not permitted along this particular trail, the thick trees that line the route make it a nice day trip with multiple other trails to provide camping opportunities and additional exploring. The most significant obstacles along the trail will be some loose rocks up to 10 inches in size that can easily be avoided or moved off the primarily gravel road. In addition to the smaller rocks, some minor rutting may worsen after wet weather and traffic, but the trail appears to receive regular maintenance, grading, and gravel. Cell service from T-Mobile and Verizon in the area is extremely weak, with only small regions providing service, while AT&T coverage is abundant.
