Trail Overview
The Indiana Bones Trail takes you from the OHV staging area up to Golden Eagle Rock and then down to Golden Eagle Lane. This trail is located in the Prison Hill OHV park and has views of Minden, Carson City, Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Pine Nut Mountains. The dirt trail is a double-track trail. It has several steep, rocky and rutted areas that will require 4WD with high clearance. The trail is open from dawn to dusk only; no camping, no fires, pack it in and pack it out. Intermittent cell service may be available. Food, gas and lodging are available two miles to the east of the OHV in Carson City along Hwy 395.

Dirt, sand, and rocky trail, steep in several places with steep 22-degree slopes. The trail is unmaintained after rain or snow. The trail is a double-track with one way traffic. This trail is rutted and elevation changes are steep with small ledges.
