Trail Overview

This is a scenic trail that takes you to several viewpoints high above Boulder City and the Las Vegas Valley. The trailhead is accessed just outside of downtown Boulder City, Nevada. The trail is well-maintained and easily accessible to any high-clearance vehicle. There are several mountain bike trails nearby, so always watch out for traffic crossing the trail. The trail quickly gains elevation to a small parking area that overlooks Boulder City below and the Las Vegas Valley off in the distance. Looking to the top of the mountain reveals a VORTAC antenna which is used for aircraft navigation. Continue on through the River Mountains and take in the expansive desert views.

Started west side from henderson and could only complete 1/4 of the trail. There was some rocky terrain in the beginning which i left in 2wd so nothing crazy. Then you’ll face an incline which i had to put in 4L and use a spotter. After that incline comes a very technical and very very high incline on the side of the mountain where i could not find enough grip on my tires to continue. Definitely going to need some experience on your belt for the first part.

The first initial hill from the Henderson side it’s steeper than it looks, but once you get on the hill, you just gotta send it for the most part and don’t try and back down it. There’s another spot on the trail right when you’re gonna turn right into the canyon that has about a foot shelf If you don’t get much clearance, then I suggest going around the longer way other than that be safe y’all.

it was super Fun but I got too Confident and went off track and got lost for 2 HOURS. needless to say follow the track make your life easy.
