Trail Overview

Badger Road is an easy gravel road mixed with sand and some rocky sections. The route will see pretty views and some Joshua trees. The end of the road abruptly stops at an impassable washout, turning around is not very easy in this area. It was difficult with my short wheelbase 4x4 vehicle so keep that in mind, there is also little to no camping on this road. If you are looking for a really nice free campground with bathrooms, tables, grills, and fire pits the Upper Pahranagat Lake Campground is close to this route.

This road starts out well graded and very wide. At this location, 37.22750, -115.19634, the maintained road turns off to the right and goes over Medsger Pass. You may continue straight at this location but the road here is not maintained and follows a wash south and then turns back to the north. It is possible to follow this road up to about 6930 ft. The road is well maintained up until the last 4 miles where it can get washed out as it crosses a wash multiple times. The washout mentioned in the description is now passable with a 4x4.
