Trail Overview

Red Top Hill road is a single-lane rock road leading to the Tarter Ranch at its terminus. This beautiful road winds and rolls to the South, giving tremendous vista views of Montana's prairies and buttes in the middle of the Custer National Forest. You'll find no obstacles along this road, or campsites either, just wide open spaces, a few cattle, and a couple of prairie dog towns.The trail leads to a ranch and private property.

Head West on 212 out of Broadus, MT. Roughly 25 miles west of Broadus, you'll see a well marked entrance to Red Top Hill Road.
