Trail Overview
North Cameron is an almost moderate-level trail, but not quite. It is a fun way to get off of Skalkaho Rye and do some more technical driving. The trail starts out from Skalkaho Rye very narrow and a very crowded trail with trees. Make sure you have a saw if you're going to do this trail as there are a lot of dead-standing trees that are ready to fall. After the 1st mile or so of this trail, you emerge onto a wider trail, which will be about two vehicles wide. The trail does not remain that width however, as you continue going, it will get more and more narrow, and eventually will turn into a narrow double track. There are some rocks that are 12-inch diameter or less. There are some pretty aggressive ruts up to 18 inches deep and there are some decent-sized potholes as well. You will definitely want a four-wheel-drive vehicle for this trail. there are sections of this trail where you will not be able to pass another vehicle. You will have to do some backing up if you come across another vehicle in certain spots. on other sections of this trail, you'll have no problem passing other vehicles. Along this trail are plenty of opportunities for a good view of the southern Bitterroot Valley and surrounding mountains.

Difficulty
The hardest obstacles on this trail are some deep ruts and deep potholes. Otherwise, there are some rocks to avoid and some stumps to swerve around. The trail is very narrow in some sections and could be difficult to pass oncoming vehicles.
