Trail Overview
Carrot Divide Trail is 3.4 miles long through the Gallatin National Forest and has incredible views of Montana's Madison Mountain Range. The east end starts off of the Oil Well ATV trail on a beautiful mountaintop in grassy wide open meadows, and it flows through the meadows on an easy dirt trail. It's narrow, but very smooth, with hardly any rocks. There are poles along the trail on the mountaintop because this is a snowmobile trail in the winter. It crosses an intersection with a nonmotorized hiking trail before it comes to the intersection with the Cabin Creek single track in another wide-open meadow. This trail is open to motorcycles 7/16 - 10/16.
