Trail Overview

This scenic trail begins off New Tomahawk Trail and winds through forested terrain along a surface made up of both fine and coarse gravel. The route is generally well maintained and passes a single residence near its starting point. For most of its length, the trail is single-lane with a series of moderate ascents and descents as it travels deeper into the woods. At one intersection, the main trail continues straight, though it becomes increasingly overgrown, while a left turn leads toward the nearest town. Continuing straight, the trail becomes rougher, with muddy sections, scattered rocks, and tall grass narrowing the path. It eventually ends at a locked gate, just beyond a small clearing that offers enough space for parking or potential dispersed camping. A side trail leads into the forest from this point, but it is heavily overgrown and appears unused. There are no formal campsites or amenities along the route, and travelers should not expect trash disposal, potable water, or reliable cell service.
