Trail Overview

This trail is accessed from the 44 Highway, a well-maintained gravel route that runs mostly straight through a dense mix of poplar, birch, fir, and pine forest. Wildlife is commonly seen along the way, with deer frequently spotted on or near the trail. While generally straight, the trail does include some gradual ascents and descents, as well as a few curves. Occasional clearings break up the tree cover, some of which contain small bodies of water. Several side trails branch off from the main route, but fallen trees block many, some likely brought down naturally, while others appear to have been placed intentionally. The map shows many trails that appear to no longer exist or are heavily overgrown. The trail eventually ends at a T-junction. Turning right leads to private property, while heading left takes you to another trail that runs parallel to a set of railway tracks. There is a parking area at the junction, often filled with pickup trucks and trailers, suggesting the trail is a popular access point for side-by-sides and ATVs. The trail itself does not offer any formal or dispersed camping options and lacks basic services such as trash disposal and potable water. Cell service may be weak or entirely absent along the route.
