Trail Overview

Windy Corner is a non-maintained ORV trail that is legal for all vehicle types and sizes, from large 4x4s to dirt bikes. The trail is primarily made up of sand and is surrounded by dense forest. This is a relatively new trail that features some twists and turns, making it a delight to traverse. Please note that the northern terminus of this trail runs through private property via an easement with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Please be respectful to private property and stay on the trail, as this route is a privilege to use.

Difficulty

The trail is composed solely of sand and lacks any obstacles.

History

Residents had been plagued by traffic on the county road, prompting the gas station owner to negotiate with the DNR and landowners to build the trail on their property. This initiative has resulted in an awe-inspiring trail that we now enjoy, while in the winter months, the trail transforms into a snowmobile trail. The gas owner also offers cabins and SXS rentals.
