South Pioneer Loop

Trail Overview

South Pioneer Loop starts out as a single-lane trail. The trail is mostly sand and dirt. The trails start out with bee hives on your left but these are not on state land. This trail is managed by the Traverse City Forest Management Unit. The trail was great for a spring ride. When you get to the loop it opens up into a field for an easy turn around that takes you back out to the main road.
