Trail Overview
NFS 5200 is mostly a logging road located on the border of Oceana & Mason Counties. This bidirectional trail is very easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of gravel, sand, and dirt, and winds through a beautiful section of the Manistee National Forest with towering Pine Trees. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is wide enough for 2 vehicles. Logging operations take place here frequently, so please use caution. All in all, this is a great trail to get outdoors and witness some beautiful tall pine trees.
