NFS 5165 is a scenic trail located within the Manistee National Forest. You'll be encompassed by towering red pine trees along this trail. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. There are a few consistent mud holes to keep an eye out for during your trek. Although this is a short trail, don't sleep on its beauty and accessibility to other great trails nearby. Regardless of the conditions, this is a great trail!
