Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 7694 is an excellent route for those seeking a more technical offroad experience. While most 4x4 rigs should have no trouble navigating this trail, drivers should be prepared for some challenging spots, including washouts and mud holes, which can vary in difficulty depending on recent precipitation. These natural obstacles add an exciting element. The route is surrounded by the lush, towering forests typical of northern Michigan, providing a beautiful and immersive backdrop as you travel. FS 7694 runs east to west, with its western end accessible from the Cadillac Area ORV/OHV Scenic Ride - Part 20, and the eastern end connecting to Forest Service Road 5006. If you choose to travel eastbound, be ready for a slightly more challenging drive, as much of the route involves a steady climb. FS 7694 will be a bit more offroad oriented in comparison to many of the nearby trails.
