Trail Overview

Croton to White Cloud offers a "back roads" option for traveling. This section of trail is primarily forest & seasonal roads. Although it is possible for a 2WD vehicle to travel this route be aware of recent weather conditions. There are several spots that are prone to wash out and hold deep water holes. This route offers a great way to enjoy the country and see what our public lands have to offer.

The trail itself was open but just before the 3 mud holes section there is a section where someone has put up private property no trespassing sign. We did not proceed through and ended up running into that gentleman that was not to happy we even drove up to this gate and signed area. I plan to put an inquiry in with the DNR on this to see if this is in fact now a closed section of trail. According to our GPS location we were still on public property where these signs and gate were located.

A good trail with several fairly shallow water and mud holes. Pretty wide open with not many choke points, but pretty views.

Morning after a rain. Some small water holes on trail from the rain. Nice easy trail.
