Trail Overview

Chambers Trail is an easy and scenic 2.5-mile bidirectional road within the Brighton State Rec Area. Located just north of Rush Lake Road, this trail is easily accessible. Starting from the southern end of the trail, you'll start out on a dirt road. Now, while this trail does start right next to some private property, about halfway, it will open up and become more of what Michigan trails are known for. You'll twist through the trees alongside the lush vegetation edging the trail. Be sure to take it all in. Shortly after, you'll enter a thicker section of trees, bringing a different vibe and mood to the route. You'll even come across something super unique, a Gnome Tree. This trail also offers the Brighton Rec Area Equestrian trail. Please TREAD LIGHTLY so future generations can enjoy these public spaces. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come Prepared! This is not a difficult trail at all, but it contains a lot of fun and beauty, and gives access to other great trails nearby. The northern end of the trail finishes at the intersection of East Schafer Road. Regardless of the conditions of this trail, it's a great route to check out! As always, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails!
