Trail Overview

Trail 2304 is a black trail located within the Potomac River Riding Area of Wolf Den Run State Park. Trail 2304 has very deep ruts and washouts at the eastern end, where it connects to trail 2301. Potomac River is the southernmost of the three riding areas at Wolf Den Run. Potomac River has a good mix of green and blue, and black trails. It also has a slag pile playground. There are also a few narrow-width trails specifically just for SxS, ATV, and motorcycles to choose from. The cell reception in this park is suspect. There will be times when you will not have coverage.

Difficulty

Trail 2304 is primarily an ungraded dirt road. It is a narrow, rocky, and heavily rutted ride in the summer months; however, during times of heavy rain, snow, and ice, the road will become severely rutted and much harder to travel on. There are areas of deep heavy mud and deep standing water that are over your axles. The eastern end of this trail is severely washed out and rutted. This will create a very technical exit. You will be very off camber with potential sliding and body damage.
