Sinking Creek

Went through during a rainstorm and got stuck at a large rock outcropping past the creek in about the middle of the trail. Was almost able to climb the right side but wet conditions made it too slippery to crawl over the obstacle. Taking a direct line down the center would definitely require higher lift and large tires to articulate over the main rock which was 3-4 ft high coming from below it. I hear there is another set of rocks similar to these a little further up due to all the washout this last year… would suggest an upgrade to a higher level unless repairs are made to reduce the current difficulty.

Began trail on the south side entering from an adjacent trail. Very muddy despite several days of no rain. Steep ledges and off camber climbs/descents due to ruts. We bypassed a steep ledge covered by mud through the creek bed. In the creek bed we had to bypass a down tree by ascending (20+ degrees) and descending (25+ degrees) a steep hill. Doable but would definitely recommend front and rear lockers, 37in tires, and a winch

Sinking Creek in the Bronco Raptor, which handled most of the terrain with ease. The trail was mostly mild, but we encountered a challenging section with wet mud while climbing a hill. With our KO2 37 all-terrain tires aired down to 25 psi (could have gone lower), we engaged low range and the rear locker for added traction. The winch came in handy on that muddy incline, and we took it easy during recovery to avoid damaging the trail or surrounding environment. Overall, it was a great day out on the trail with just the right amount of adventure.
