Trail Overview

Note that this trail is impassable during high pool seasons of Lake Cumberland, from around March to October. Exercise caution and observe the water level. This route provides access through one of four roads to the Lake Cumberland WMA at Oil Center. Please keep in mind that this area is maintained for hunting and wildlife management. Stay on the main "trails" if possible, and pick up litter when you can. During hunting season, exercise caution. Depending on the time of year, some areas may be gated to protect the hunting areas. It's a nice place to view fall leaves.

Difficulty

The main road contains mostly gravel and dirt, with lake stone and silt near the two major water crossings. It's a walk in the park if you catch a dry day, but difficult if it's been raining recently. Be prepared to get muddy and stuck at the crossings if wet. This is mostly a route to access the area and its various offshoots.
