Trail Overview

This 3.3-mile trail bumps and twists and climbs its way through dense forest before abruptly popping out above the treeline at 9,648 feet of elevation. This is an astonishing view and experience. It is a beautiful drive through the forest surrounded by sharp mountain peaks, it's quite breathtaking.

Access Description

The end of the Eightmile Canyon Road (after it leaves the trailhead area) is pretty rough. Visitors trailering their machines to the location are advised to unload in the trailhead area.
