Trail Overview

Snake Skin is an easy single track in the South Hills Trail System that connects the more difficult Hot Shot trail back to Indian Spring road. It's an easier trail with no rock obstacles, and is pretty smooth the entire time with hardly any rocks in the trail at all. It lightly snakes through the sage brush meadows on a faint and narrow trail that is very overgrown with grass. It looks seldom ridden, but is also a multi-use trail and you are likely to see mountain bikers. It crosses Indian Spring road and continues for another segment to connect to Upper Sugarloaf. As it gets close to the road, the trail has wide sweeping turns through the sage brush meadows. The trail is also braided near this spot because there are many other cow trails through the meadows, but they all seem to go to the same place.
