Trail Overview

Pretty simple road during the summer months that cuts over to Robbie Creek. A nice alternate route to Hwy 21, or a good road to access the ridge road. The winter months can vary depending on snowpack. It is not maintained east of the summit. Full size vehicles would be a handful in spots, and the east side is usually dead-ended with a large mound of snow from the lack of snow plow turnaround.

Difficulty

Rain ruts and washouts are very likely in the spring. Snow can make some deep ruts, but a stock 4x4 is capable enough.

Washboard
The main trail has some wash board and slight water runoff but would probably take a low clearance vehicle without much worries. Depending on the side trail you take, you may run into deeper ruts and more of a “4WD” style climb. Turned around about half way through the trail to head back. A lot of UTVs and runner/bicyclist so be careful around those turns! Watch out for rattlesnakes as well.

Snow/Ice
About 2ft of fresh snowfall hit the trail between the 5th-13th of January. Trail is passable however you will want at least 12” of clearance, chains or oversized tires & use the buddy system, winch was used on 3 rigs today!
