Trail Overview
North Grove Creek is a lightly used 1-mile ATV trail located in Targhee National Forest, offering a bit of exploratory mileage from the Grove Creek Motorized Trailhead. The southern entrance is marked only by a wooden post with no sign, and the trail begins faint, grassy, and slightly overgrown. The trail is wet and muddy near the beginning, with small loose rocks along the way, but nothing technical or especially difficult. The trail parallels Grove Creek for much of its length and passes a metal water trough before turning into an overgrown meadow. From there, it starts climbing a steeper grade with deeper ruts and loose dirt through the trees, becoming a bit more difficult. The trail gradually descends at the north end, eventually dead-ending at another water trough. It doesn't connect with other ATV trails, but adds scenic and easy mileage for riders wanting a short detour or additional exploration.
