Into The Salmon Forest

Trail Overview

Beautiful and scenic, this easy dirt road winds its way up into the Salmon National Forest. Once you begin gaining elevation, the road is generously one vehicle wide with plenty of pull-out places to pass. No obstacles but steep mountain drop-offs exist. There were several dispersed camp spots noted along the way. I was unable to reach the end of the trail due to a massive herd of livestock on the trail, so keep an eye out for them. Unmaintained in the winter months with muddy conditions possible in the spring.
