Trail Overview

Harrington Peak #5215 is an easy 3 mile ATV trail that winds through Caribou National Forest and is easily accessed from the Green Basin Motorized Trailhead off Slug Creek Road. Starting at the north end behind a gate with a 50-inch pinch point, the trail immediately goes left at an unmarked intersection before meandering through a mix of forest and open hillsides. The surface is dry and dusty, mostly flat and gradual with no major obstacles, though there are some larger dips, shallow ruts, and occasional bumps along the way. The route intersects with spur trails #5234 and #5233, offering options for further exploration. The southern half of the trail features a slightly steeper descent and ends at a spur road off of Slug Creek Road near dispersed camping. Along the way, expect common forest trail features like small rocks, roots, and potential downed trees.
