Trail Overview
Foolhen is a short but difficult dirt bike trail accessed from the Slate Peak ATV trail. The bulk of the trail is made up of technical troughed climbs that most riders will just be spinning their wheels on, especially if it's after a rain storm. It starts with a really deeply troughed and overgrown descent from the ATV trail, with embedded rocks creating small ledges, and tree branches blocking the view. The trough is about foot-peg depth, and there's small rocks filling in the trough. This is really hard on the way back up. It eventually gets out of the trough and out of the trees and climbs back up to a cool ridgeline full of yellow wildflowers in the summer and great views of the mountains. It rides along the ridgeline, constantly going up and down. This segment is full of loose rocks, making the climbs pretty tough. You have to ride this as an out and back, so what you go down, you have to come back up. The motorized section ends on the top of Foolhen Mountain at 5,900 feet. There's no sign at the end where the motorized portion ends, but the trail does continue as a hiking trail.

Difficulty
This is a 7 difficulty due to the greasy steep climbs full of rocks, which would be even more difficult if wet.
