Carrico Mine is a 2.2-mile out-and-back single-lane trail that ends at an intersection with East Fork Gold Creek, a 50-inch and under trail. According to motor vehicle use maps (MVUMs), the trail continues for another 0.5 miles past East Fork Gold Creek. As of 9/15/25, there are large, essentially impassable tank traps immediately after the intersection with East Fork Gold Creek. Carrico Mine is not well-maintained and has some sections of brush encroachment. Carrico Mine is best used as an alternative access or egress route for East Fork Gold Creek. Carrico Mine is open from 06/15 to 9/30.

Difficulty
4775 Carrico Mine is not maintained and is overgrown in some sections. There are some easily passable mud holes. As with any trail in North Idaho, trail conditions will vary significantly with snow, and always bring a chainsaw or equipment to remove fallen trees.
