Trail Overview

Week Creek (FS 35) is a twisty, seasonally closed Forest Service road in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. Current MVUM states the closure dates are from January 1st to March 15th. If travelling on Weeks Creek soon after its reopening, it may be wise to bring a saw just in case of any treefall that hasn't been cleared. It is part of the Georgia Traverse and is a fantastic road to take in the forest and have a relaxing ride. There are a few primitive camp spots along the road to give the Overlanders a place to hang their hats for the evening.

Difficulty

Similar to other Forest Service roads in the area, Weeks Creek is not technically challenging. However, there are random potholes and spots from water erosion where some ground clearance is nice to have. Being a seasonal road, it does not see the maintenance that most year-round roads do.

History

Weeks Creek helps comprise the Georgia Traverse trail system.
