Trail Overview

Earls Ford is an out-and-back road with a few obstacles that are worth the ride out to experience. Also, you are rewarded with an awesome overlook of the Chattooga River at the end. This trail has some spots you will need to take your time on with an amazing creek crossing that could become impassable during periods of heavy rain. Cell service is spotty at best and we did not have service for most of the trip. There are a few dispersed camping spots along the river that would make for a peaceful spot to stay for the night.

The creek crossing and obstacles are not for stock rigs you will need a high clearance 4x4 to do this trail.

Went out and back during a storm. The campsites that used to be here are all washed away or blocked now. We went all the way to the end and there was no campsite anymore. Trail overall wasn't bad but the river crossing was deeper than it usually was. The rest of the trail was just muddy and wet nothing to crazy.

Took a new jeep gladiator rubicon off the lot and hit this trail with minimal to no issues. Water was almost over the bumpers on the creek crossing

Did not disappoint! Followed recommendations which really helped.

Access Description

From Clayton GA take Warwomen road to Earls Ford rd. It is paved to where the house are then shortly you cross a bridge and are on dirt from there on.
