Trail Overview

South Ormond Beach is one of the few accessible beaches in Florida. Volusia County is charging $31.95 for non-residents. That allows you to access all beaches on the day of purchase. That part of the beach has very fine and deep sand. Unexperienced drivers get easily stuck. I recommend entering the Beach at Harward Drive and leaving at University Boulevard. There are several exits in between. Perfect area for swimming, walking on the beach, watching dolphins, or just enjoying the ride. 4x4 is required, and high clearance is recommended. Only street-legal vehicles are permitted.
