Trail Overview

ONF Trail 9-5.2 runs East to West from ONF Trail 45 to ONF 14 and the Tread Lightly Four-Wheel Drive Trail. The trail is loose, primarily sand; you can also expect deep sand in places and being met with tight, mildly technical sections. The trail is generally only one vehicle wide, with areas to pull off to allow passing. The trail is tight in places, and pinstriping can be expected along it. Some obstacles may be encountered, such as fallen trees and washouts. The trail is not recommended for 2WD vehicles due to deep, soft sand in several places. The trail is limited to registered motor vehicles only. Frequent wildlife can be viewed, including deer, bears, etc.
