Trail Overview
Forest Service 15R is located in the Apalachicola National Forest. This bi-directional trail features hard-packed sand mixed with pine needles and old leaves. It is generally wetter and darker than other trails due to the dense tree canopy above. This single track intersects with trails that are 50 inches wide and still in use. There are a few deep ditches and eroded sections with exposed roots that collect a significant amount of water after rainfall. Additionally, there is a large downed tree; however, a newer single-track has been rerouted to help navigate this section of the trail.
