Trail Overview
This short ATV trail zig-zags up the mountainside, with views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains and Weminuche Wilderness the whole way. The switchbacks are wide and gradual, with a bit of loose rock, but should be navigable by riders of most skill levels. Watch out for washouts and deep ruts, downed trees sticking over the trail, and big rollers. Some sections are a bit rockier. The north end dead ends in the forest as it approaches the wilderness boundary. The view is best during the route; it doesn't end at a specific overlook. It's still worth the detour to get the view while riding, as it's a quick and easy spur.
