Trail Overview
This road is closed to motorized vehicles late winter through early spring to provide big game security and protect the road from damage. Starting as a simple dirt trail, the first three to four miles weave and wind through open desert brush landscape. After four miles, the terrain turns more mountainous, and the trail becomes more narrow in the forest. After this point, there are several sections where deep mud holes and water crossings exist. Depending on the time of year/rainfall, these sections could be challenging and should really be avoided (if possible) to prevent further trail damage. The route ends at a grove of aspens and doesn't go any further.
