Longwater Gulch

Trail Overview

This is a scenic out and back trail about 1.5 hours from Colorado Springs and is one of the three trails known as The Gulches. It is located in the old Hayman Fire burn area which gives plenty of mountain views. The Forest Service District has the trail currently ending at the Park County line. Most of the trail is smooth gravel with dips and humps that test suspension flex and travel. It only contains a couple of obstacles that give it the difficult rating including a steep off-camber drop to continue the trail.

Difficulty rating is due to one obstacle with a steep off-camber drop that does not have a bypass.

History

The Trail is located in the old Hayman Fire burn area which gives unobstructed views of the mountains around the trail.
