Trail Overview

Plan on spending some time in this popular recreation area with lots of great rides and options for alternative routes. Visit American Flag Mountain for beautiful views. The connecting Reno Divide is very remote, so plan accordingly. There are lots of great camping opportunities along the trail. If Cement Creek is closed (typically from March to May), use Reno Ridge Road to access Taylor River Road.

The green was awesome. Great cruising, having a blast breaking in the new adv bike. The red? Holy balls. That was terrible. Lifting a top heavy adv bike almost made me quit and just walk out. The rocks through the red section were ungodly. Trying to get through a 100 yard section of stream with boulders ended up on my side 5/6 times. That red section is not for the faint of heart, it was absolutely brutal. I never want to do it again.

(July 9, 2025) If Indian creek trail is rated a 4/10, then this is a 6/10. Spoke to another rider who said this is the worst he has ever seen this road in the 9 years of riding it. Big heavy exposed rock garden for the first mile, then it drops to a 4/10.

The rise from Cement Creek was cake compared to the Italian Creek side. A boulder section was not passable with a stock vehicle, so we turned around.
