Trail Overview
The Forest Fence is a fun single track through the Uncompahgre National Forest that starts on Divide Road at a couple of dispersed campsites. The trail has many fast and flowy sections between aspens and fir trees, on hard-packed dirt, with gradual turns through the forest. It also has lots of rockier sections that make it more technical. There are medium-sized boulders embedded in the trail that you have to pick your way through or ride over, making small ledges. It has some sharper turns that are more rutted and rocky with some small roots. There's also potential for downfall here, with 1-foot tall logs in the trail that will have to be crossed. It's not overly difficult but will be a good challenge for newer riders. It's fun to add this trail to your ride to add in some rocky sections.
