Trail Overview
This scenic sandy trail winds through a dense pine forest and connects Bald Mountain Road in two separate locations, making it a useful and beautiful connector for loop planning. The trail features a gradual climb and passes through several small open meadows, providing opportunities to pause and enjoy the surrounding nature. Along the way, you'll spot a few glimpses of Crater Mountain through the trees and encounter multiple spur trails, including 2S129A, 2S129B, 1S70, 1S70A, and S131, allowing for further exploration. Dispersed camping is allowed in the area, making this a great spot for an overnight. Be aware of a large tree fall across the trail around Mile 1 from the west, which may require turning around or finding a reroute if not cleared.

Difficulty
This trail is easy and generally accessible to most high-clearance vehicles, including 2WD. However, don't underestimate the deceptively soft sandy patches, especially if you stray off the main path, as it's easy to get stuck. The climb is gradual, with no steep grades or significant rock obstacles. Drivers should remain cautious near the tree fall and use proper traction techniques in sandy sections. Suitable for stock vehicles and beginner drivers under dry conditions.
