Trail Overview
This out-and-back trail starts at Lucky Lady Towers and follows the power line through sandy terrain with whoops, washboards, and off-camber sections, creating a varied and challenging ride. There are some small but very deep sand dunes that you have to go over along the way, and these can change nightly with windy weather, making conditions unpredictable. There is very little vegetation except for a few creosote bushes scattered throughout the barren landscape. There is a fun loop along the route for those wanting to explore. At 3 miles out, there is an area with mounds of sand that is a popular destination due to the many mini winding trails for OHV riders to explore and enjoy.

Difficulty
The very deep sand dunes that change nightly with the wind create unpredictable challenges requiring four wheel drive, and airing down is essential. The combination of whoops, washboards, and off-camber sections creates a demanding, bumpy ride throughout. The power line provides navigation reference, but the shifting sand dunes mean conditions can be significantly different from previous visits.
