Trail Overview

Sierra OHV Trail is a popular dirt bike and ATV route located in the northern section of the Rowher Flats OHV Area. The trail follows the hillside just below Pelona Ridge, offering riders scenic views throughout the entire route. This is a two-way trail that is enjoyable in either direction. From the east, it begins at the Ridge OHV Trail, while on the western end, it connects to the Rowher 4x4 Trail. Along the way, riders are rewarded with expansive views of the surrounding landscape. While the trail is not overly technical, it does feature several switchbacks and consistent exposure along a steep hillside, adding an element of challenge and excitement. Those looking for a real challenge can connect to King Snake OHV on the west end for a bit of hard enduro. Keep an eye out for oncoming traffic and also where Sierra Trail crosses Lookout Trail, as there could be larger vehicles traveling up or down Lookout. The most challenging section of this trail will be between the King Snake intersection and the Lookout Trail. Riding east to west on this section is mostly uphill with lots of loose dirt and rocks. Continuing east past Lookout Trail, Sierra Trail gets very flowy and fun. At the Rowher 4x4 trail, you have the option to turn north and head up the mountain or south and make your way to the lower area of the OHV area. This is definitely a trail worth checking out.
