Trail Overview

This trail is part of the Ocotillo Wells OHV area, where all vehicles are allowed with proper documentation. The surface is sandy with a little gravel, and the trail is full of whoops and washboards that will keep your suspension working throughout. The route runs along a fence line marking the boundary of the OHV area, providing a clear reference for navigation. The ranger station and Octillo Wells Discovery Area are located along this trail, making it an important access route for park facilities. There are many public restrooms along the road as well, providing convenient amenities for visitors. You'll find a lot of open dispersed camping along the road where OHV enthusiasts set up to enjoy the area.

This is an easy trail with the main considerations being the whoops and washboards that create a bouncy, jarring ride. The sandy surface with a little gravel is straightforward to navigate. The heavy whoops and washboards will test your suspension and slow your pace, but they're not technically difficult. All vehicle types allowed means this accommodates everything from dirt bikes to full-size rigs.
