Trail Overview

This scenic forest route winds through a beautiful pine forest, transitioning from highway access to backcountry exploration. The trail features very sandy and pumice surfaces with some sections of deep material that require careful navigation. Riders will encounter small ruts, washboards, and whoops created by heavy side-by-side traffic throughout the route. The trail offers numerous spur trails for additional exploration and several dispersed camping opportunities. Along the way, you'll notice signs of burnt trees, which are actually from the recent planned thinning of the forest floor. The route culminates as it opens to a large meadow with stunning views of the Eastern Sierras.
