Polique Canyon Road is an easy dirt road leading up to Holcomb Valley. Easy connector trail to so many trails and campgrounds around Holcomb Valley. 2WD and AWD Friendly. It is best during spring, summer, and fall. It might not be easy to traverse after rain or snow just off Highway 38.

Very easy on summer and fall season. Mostly dirt with little bit of rocky section but nothing too technical. 2WD and AWD friendly. Might be difficult to traverse after rain or snow.

The road was dirt with some sludge of snow and mud. Although with 4H and at low speed, never got stuck and no issues with my 2024 TRD Off-road Tacoma. I did come across several vehicles coming towards me. A couple jeep and 4Runner vehicle groups. So far no issues. All friendly and it was my first time off roading :) 😁😎👍🏻

Much more muddy after some snow compared to when I was up here 2/9/25. Still pretty easy.

Snow! Lines were already there. Spent most of the time in 2WD. Used 4WD for the big water puddles and snowy uphill climbs. (4-6” deep). Beautiful trail!
